Today we had to decide and organize our groups for our final movie project. I will be working side by side with Emily Suarez, Gabriela Diaz and Natalie Guzman. We all had different interpretations of what kind of movie genre we wanted to do the intro to. We all wanted to do something fun and youthful. We decided on doing a hybrid of genres, mixing both beach party and romance together. We all love teen beach movie and thought we could do something upbeat.
Genre: refer to the type or category of film that has its own conventions and stock characters.
Genre we chose: beach party/romance
Setting: America’s, 80’s time frame
Intended Venue: Movie theater
Intended Audience: Teenagers and young adults
Cast: a male lead and female lead undecided
There are three movie examples that we would base our movie off of. These movies are Beach Party (1963), Blue Hawaii (1961), and Teen Beach Movie (2013).
