Journey to the center of my mini film

For an assignment I was told to get into a group and create a mini film that consisted of at least 3 shots. My group and I decided to first plan the plot of our mini film, which consisted of a girl finding out her grandfather passed away. We then wrote down each shot used for each scene, including insert shots, reaction shots, and establishing shots. We made sure to correlate our scenes with the reasoning for our shots. The reaction shot was used to demonstrate the actresses emotion when finding out this horrifying news. Insert shot to establish importance of object which on our case was a letter. Then, we used establishing shot to identify location. We didn’t do this in that order but that was part of the planning deciding the order of the film’s plot and shots. Filming was exciting and to add some spice to the cinematic structure we made it black and white. The production as a whole came out pretty decent and had a nice flow to it.
